So now a House Committee has passed a bill allowing school bureaucrats to raise class size so they can keep using teacher money for other things. And Democrat ad makers are smiling as Republicans walk closer to the trap of being accused of raising class size and cutting teachers.
Smart House members like Reps. Dixon and Iler are raising a warning their colleagues should heed.
But the train rolls on.
Spending $9,300 per student (compared to $4,200 for an opportunity scholarship student) and you’d think the bureaucrats could keep smaller class size and every teacher.
The Legislature should stay out of the trap.
